Conceived, written, and performed by Jaselyn Blanchard, cheers no tears began as a response to Arthur Miller’s “After the Fall.” His portrayal of Maggie led her to go on a rigorous journey through Marilyn’s writings, poetry, and anything she ever said in first person. cheers no tears is a glimpse at the person who Jaselyn discovered–an intelligent, sassy, loving, and deeply troubled woman who struggled to accept not only everyone around her, but herself.

THE TABLE is a place for artists to gather, a place to eat, a place to read, and a place to share. THE TABLE, formerly Playground, is a Brooklyn-based actor-writer-director-listener community geared toward developing pages for the stage and screen in the comfort of the home environment. Since 2007 we have served up some roomfuls of savory meals, the delectable talents of leading NYC artists and insightful moderated feedback, all with the goal of getting the writer to the next stage of development. At THE TABLE we understand how personal the writing process can be, especially when offering your creation to folks for the very first time.
