Jaselyn Blanchard is an actress, singer, playwright, audiobook narrator, producer and bona fide petite Texan firecracker. Born and raised in San Antonio, Texas, Jaselyn (start by saying Jason and end with a -lynn) began performing in local Texas theatres, shopping malls, county fairs, and even a U.S. Air Force airplane hangar. After falling head over heels for music, dancing, performing and storytelling, she went on to receive her Bachelors of Music in Vocal Performance from NYU and her MFA in Acting from Brown University/Trinity Repertory Company’s Masters program.
Some of her favorite roles include: Polly Peachum in The Threepenny Opera, Laura in Look Homeward Angel, Natasha in Three Sisters, Cariola in Duchess of Malfi, and Marilyn in cheers no tears: an Intimate Evening with Marilyn Monroe — an original play she wrote, conceived and performed based on the original writing, poetry and words of Marilyn Monroe.
In addition to writing and performing, Jaselyn is also a proud BBC/AudioGo Narrator. You can hear her narrate Gold Medal Summer (Donna Freitas), Up a Road Slowly (Irene Hunt) and Locked in Time by Lois Duncan. When she’s not busy performing, Jaselyn is producer of THE TABLE reading series and loves fostering the development of new plays.
Jaselyn splits her time between NYC and Texas where in addition to her artistic pursuits and projects, she is CEO of Concierge Creative Consulting–a brand identity company specializing in helping people and companies tell their story.
